A legal permanent resident is not the same as becoming a citizen. So they are going after legal residents, also, using a database search for the slightest infractions to justify forcing a person to leave.

Short version: The guy is 61, has lived in US under permanent legal status, had done a misdemeanor 30 years ago.
ICE locks him up and wants to deport him based on that.

ICE even admitted is was not a criminal warrant but an "administrative one".

This is a long planed purge. We are much closer to when Russian plant Trump decides to invade Poland.

“I just have Naturalization papers from the state department. I have a netherlander birth certificate. No real birth certificate at all, long or short, with any sort of seal at all. None.”
“Most importantly: I’m an liberal atheist!”

“As a bonus I’ll happily get deported to any part of kingdom of the Netherlands. No muss, no fuss.”
