Kibbutz Lotan is not only an interesting vision of a progressive renewable community, it also is a community that strives to spread knowledge, understanding, and connect a network of sustainability experts! Kibbutz Lotan is one of several sustainable communities that the company I work for, Living Routes, partners with to create study abroad opportunities. The community hosts our semester program, "Peace, Justice, and the Environment at Kibbutz Lotan" (http://www.livingroutes.org/programs/p_lotan.htm) as well as a short term Green Apprenticeship program. According to our alumni of the program, it is an amazing oasis in one of the most intriguing and beautiful places in the world!
