But, Democrats know that you cannot make a deal with terrorists. Neither can you make a deal with an extortionist.

If, IF, this is his game, the Democrats could never go along with it.

because a) he's gone so far in shocking the conscience that immigration policy is now being debated in morality terms and any movement towards his positions will look like condoning immorality and b) he's long since shown himself to not honor any agreements/compromises/deals so Dems have no reason to believe he will change current policy direction if they actually deliver the wall.

To make sure these kids are well-fed and taken care of, and that the effort is continuing to help them contact their parents. The media should report on the condition of these kids each and every day until this is resolved. If Trump and the Republicans wish to play this game, we should be ready to play hardball with them.
