Trump Again Falsely Blames Democrats for His Separation Tactic (NY Times)

<snip>
WASHINGTON — President Trump on Saturday repeated his false assertion that Democrats were responsible for his administration’s policy of separating migrant families apprehended at the border, sticking to a weekslong refusal to publicly accept responsibility for a widely condemned practice that has become a symbol of his crackdown on illegal immigration.

<snip>
But Mr. Trump has steadfastly tried to deflect blame for the separation of children from their parents, consistently dissembling about why it is occurring. His comments are the latest example of his asking the public to discount what it sees with its own eyes and instead believe his own self-serving version of reality. They also reflect how politically poisonous the issue has become, as photographs and news articles circulate about the effects of the practice.

<snip>
Mr. Trump, however, has not tried to justify the family separation policy, preferring to pretend that it is being forced upon him by his political rivals, and sometimes to ignore it altogether. While the president’s Saturday radio address was about the need to pass legislation — slated for votes in the House next week — that would overhaul immigration laws, he never mentioned the zero tolerance policy that has led to immigrant children being separated from their parents.

Instead, he focused on MS-13, the brutal transnational gang with roots in El Salvador, laying out in graphic detail the crimes its members have inflicted on American citizens and charging, with no basis, that Democrats “want them taken care of — they want them to be left alone.”

its their nature.

But, it is important to note, it has been complete reinforced by the people of this country, and media, relentlessly indulging it for decades now.

3. He says the Dems are to blame, while simultaneously his AG is quoting scriptures to justify it.

It's almost like he's putting 2 polar opposite versions of reality forward as 'truth', at the same time. Like he's going in 2 polar opposite directions at the same time. Shroedinger's dictator.

And in his cartoon version of reality, the Dems made a law that splits up innocent families, nazi-style, while it simultaneously helps the murderous cartels those families are fleeing.

"Negotiating with President Trump is like negotiating with Jell-O," Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) complained on the Senate floor Saturday, some 12 hours into the shutdown. "It's next to impossible."

Let's be clear. This is Neo-Fascism. Children aren't being separated at the Canadian border, or at our airports and ports of entry. Only across the Mexican border. It is extortion to force congress to fund his wall.

Of the house, senate and presidency. They can enact or modify a law to prevent this all on their own. It does not require a single democratic vote. The republicans can close the loophole that allows this practice or he can stop the border patrol from using it. As Lindsey Graham said - it will take one phone call and it stops.

No matter what is said he keeps promoting lies , or propaganda, and he could care less about the children , as he's already shown by terrorizing the DACA children with. Cutting their health care, and destroying our air and water with pollution all for profits and greed. The truth is trump's and the gop's biggest enemy . That's why they have to use propaganda so much, they're liars .

The fascism is designed to shore up his fascist base. But, when the soccer moms are challenged by their friends "How can you support someone who does that to children" they are supposed to reply "He isn't doing it. The Democrats are doing it." And they can vote for their white privilege and segregated schools without feeling like feckless c-words.
