labor camps? Crops need picking. Weeds need chopping along our roadways. Soon, some idiot Republican will propose that those in detention centers "earn" their freedom to be deported by laboring in the fields. Of course, the rules will require them to pay large fines for illegal border crossing, repay the cost of their detention at market room and board rates. Still, as the signs in the buildings at at the entrances of those facilities will read:
It's coming. Truly it is coming, if the Trumpeters have anything to do with it.

(11,686 posts)I must admit I feel a little worse for the women and little girls because you all know damn well they are going to be used as sex slaves. I would be willing to bet a months income that it is already happening as far as any of the labor and sex slavery.

(146,313 posts)undocumented migrants for a very long time. At the moment, it is not occurring with people being held by ICE, as far as I know. It happens more to people who are not even known to immigration officials, and the threat of ICE is heavily used by the traffickers and labor "contractors."
