When Maximus defeats the Tigress of Gaul , Commodus is upset beyond measure. Another confrontation infuriates Commodus when Maximus says to him,
"The time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end, Sire."

All we have witnessed in this Era of Trump is self honoring, bragging about what he has accomplished, embracing Dictators, erasing the previous 8 years, tearing apart the very fabric of freedoms in this country from the top down.
Trump is Commodus and we the people, are Maximus in this melodrama unfolding before our very eyes. And like the fictional Maximus, we must rise up and scream "STRENGTH and HONOR" We must rise up, unite and defeat the forces that would strip us of the freedoms we cherish and hold dear.
For if ever there was a Classic Film that is as relevant today with the politics being played at this very moment, it is GLADIATOR.
