General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI hope this justifies a separate post. In a prior post, I suggested a massive demonstration
in DC if Trump fires Mueller. Some disagreed and suggested that I check out one of the many local protests that have been prepared for if the firing takes place. I guess I should have been more precise with my suggestion.
Yes, I know exactly when and where we are assembling locally if Mueller---or Rosenstein---is fired. Got my tee shirt. Signs made. BUT----
All of these smaller protests combined will hardly amount to a "blip" on the evening news. So, let's ask the most under-used question in political discussions: "And then what?" AFTER our local gatherings, "Then what?".
Why not have these local gatherings be the rally point for hastily chartered buses? Our little (very red) community sent a full bus to the Women's March. Some who could not go donated funds to provide seats for those with the desire to go but not the funds.
With that explanation, I ask again: Can we agree to at least try to clog DC traffic in response to Mueller's firing if it occurs?

(3,479 posts)I can't just pack up and fly to DC. I would appreciate being able for my voice to be heard near to home. But anyone in the Washington,Virginia, Maryland ect.. should be on the Mall protesting like hell.
