I think there should be TWO Olympic competitions...

One for purists: No participant should have ever taken a monetary compensation for participation in their particular event. That's not hard to police at all. Daily drug tests. Daily doping tests. Oh, they should participate in the nude, as a symbolic statement that they're there with their bodies and nothing else.

One for everyone else: Steroids? Who fucking cares? Doping? Go on with your bad self. It's YOUR body. Who cares who you've been sponsored by and for how much, or how you've fucked your own body over in order to gain the short-term benefit of money and its rewards.

Of course there should be a separation of records set by athletes, more than just an asterisk. There should be one set of records for real athletes and one set of records for those whose accomplishments were aided by steroids, blood doping, or whatever.
