(12,233 posts)keeping the 99% fighting amongst themselves about literally chicken sandwhiches this time; all the while the 1% rich bastards at the top do whatever they want... Write laws that benefit them and insulate their wealth and lifestyle from the rest of the population.
On the other side, if you ignore the entire debacle, it's like giving up on Civil Rights issues... And those are issues that literally benefit people normally in a minority group (women as a whole are the only population that we have more of in the USA, but have to struggle with equality issues).
And anytime u watch any point in point question session with the "anti" people, it's easy to see how uninformed they are, and that the church they attend is lying to them from a pulpit... The saddest thing is seeing the younger uninformed teens who are just doing what their parents told them to, think that the founding fathers told people how marriage should look, or even that the bible says marriage is between a man and a woman; when countless men throughout the bible practiced polygamy.
Why is it that we are NOT teaching civics in school? Is it because we might just have informed people who know about their Constitutional Rights and how the govt actually works. And what and who our "forefathers" were. Thu certainly weren't fundie Christians who follow "order", otherwise, they wouldn't have revolted in the first place.
