shutdown the only real discussion that was going to tak place, before it could take place?
On his This Week show, The "Smart Ones" were discussing the deficit and (as Van Jones framed it) the fact that romney's plan would cut taxes for himself and raise taxes on just about everyone else AND policy experts have said that romney's plan will kill a couple million jobs, immediately. To which anne coulter said, "what are you talking about ... cutting taxes creates jobs!"
Jones responded, "okay we can have this out right now ... Jobs are only created when there is middle class
consumer demand to support businesse expansion ..." (It had been noted in an earlier discussion on the jobs numbers that the growth in jobs is limited to the private sector ... and you could tell he was headed to tying consumer demand to government employment ... even coulter could see the direction he was going because she went to her "government jobs aren't real jobs" tact).
And almost on cue, George shut it down ...

(12,939 posts)Bob Scheiffer (sp?) just did the same thing this morning on some other BS show when a Dem Gov lit into some Florida Repub about the lack of job growth under Obama. Not like BS (the correct initials) could have interrupted the lying Florida Republican with one or two questions about Republican obstruction.

(21,925 posts)They're so afraid that part of the audience will drop off if they tell the un-watered down truth or, even worse, have an intelligent and intellectually stimulating discussion. If they thought they could sell more commercial time by showing child porn and get away with it, I believe they would. Real news shows are a thing of the past.
