First, he pointed out he's just a comedian on TV.He can't actually create a recession as rightwing pundits seem to fear. 
Second, he pointed out we have recessions in the presidential terms of every Republican ever! 
And, obviously, third - recessions are survivable events! 
His fear is this White House may not be.
