Along with the vast majority of the United States, I never heard of the Red Hen in my whole life. But if I'm ever in that area, you better fucking believe I'm eating there and taking all my friends.

in a month or maybe in two or three months, almost nobody will remember the Red Hen and if a visitor to the area looks up Yelp reviews, they'll see a low 1 1/2 or 2 star rating and ignore the place. So, while they have a bump in their business now, the problem is 6 or 12 months from now...

7. Because they're getting massive web hits.

Which gins up their advertising rates and inflates their "value".

It's the same scam that Facebook and Twitter are running. It's the reason why Twitter won't drop the Orange Shitgibbon's account despite the fact that he blatantly violates their posted terms of service on a daily basis.

As soon as the views slow down and maximum utility is achieved, they'll quietly drop the bad reviews.

Big fucking scam, social media. I wish more people would realize this.

Like their dear leader, they will be freshly whining and griping about some other personal affront. Also like their dear leader, they have the attention span of houseflies.

Why would they want to ruin that?

As soon as the gravy train slows down, they'll take them down.

They put a header up saying something like comments are being deleted because the locale is in the news.

They shot themselves in the foot by overdoing it. I heard (not yet confirmed but I can believe it) that their waiting list for reservations is currently at three weeks. This is the best thing that's ever happened to them.

but, when it's forgotten after the next 60 to 90 outrages over the next 2 to 3 months, it can possibly hurt the restaurant. If John Doe or Jane Smith is passing through and is hungry, a search on Yelp shows them several 3 and 4 star restaurants, and the Red Hen at 1.5 stars... unless they really remember the Red Hen situation, most people won't even consider the 1.5 star restaurant
