Look at the YouGov polls here:

Just like Page and Strozk right after the Flynn plea, there is always some idiot around to help Trump climb out when it finally seems he has torpedoed himself for good!😡

(1,835 posts)Being asked to leave a restaurant is not a big deal. For an issue like this to skyrocket his approval makes no sense to me when other issues, far more important, move the needle barely at all.

(7,220 posts)Dem's need to fight back on the Red Hen thing. They need to call complacency and normalizing these thugs as what happened in Nazi Germany in the 30's.
They also need to call out the hypocrisy. In their minds, it's totally acceptable for pharmacists (and employers) to deny women birth control. It's just dandy for bakers (and marriage license clerks) to use their jobs to make decisions about other people's lives. As a Democrat, I'm tired of the double-standard. Stand the fuck up.

(26,060 posts)the gallup numbers covering through 6/24 - same as the yougov numbers? Why would it hurt in one poll and not in the other?

Ignore day to day developments and rely on the 538 compilation and you'll be in much better shape than if you sweat the release of each new approval poll

(1,835 posts)LOL. I was thrilled when I saw Gallup this morning but then I saw this YouGov poll and went into a state of near panic. I wish I wasnt like this. Its just that I want him brought down so much. Hes a Nazi that needs to go.

(42,794 posts)20 percent of those polled were 65 or older. For the past three election cycles (2008, 2012, 2016), voters 65 and older have consistently represented 16 percent of the electorate. It matters, because 65 and up voters are Trump's strongest demographic.

(17,865 posts)She could have phrased it differently to elicit more constructive engagement. For example with the legislators I would shame them into saying the people needs to ask them questions when they are out in public since they sure are not making themselves available at town halls. Also I think shouting and holding signs only feeds the beast. Take a camera and start asking questions and stating why you think they are not doing their jobs.
