Not sure how accurate this web site is, it appears to be a gossip column.... but still
Melania has seen photos of the Trump baby blimp, and she doesnt find it funny in the slightest, she thinks its mortifying, a source close to the first lady tells HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. The fact that something so blatantly mocking and disrespectful to the most powerful man in the world would be permitted to fly in the air whilst he is visiting a foreign country speaks legions to her about how her husbands presidency is viewed internationally.
Trumps wife is also concerned about how the British people will be viewing her and her husband during the trip. Our insider adds: Melania feels that given all the protests that will be going on, and this huge monstrous embarrassment flying in the sky above them during their visit, that shes not going to be able to shake off the feeling of people laughing at them behind their backs, and that the British public see the Trump presidency as little more than a joke.
Guess what Melly! You and your disgraceful orange husband ARE a joke! And the whole world knows it!

I think the I Really Don't Care jacket was a deliberate political choice as well. At one point, when we were showing up with pink pussy hats, she wore some outfit in the same shade. It flitted though my mind that she was being disrespectful, but I forgot about it. Maybe it was coincidental. I think her fashions are being chosen to reflect her husband's politics. She seldom vocalizes. Fashion is her thing, and that is how she speaks to us.
Cha
(297,678 posts)about the pink blouse thing now.. I think she's disrespectful of anything that isn't fascistrump. That online bullying issue of hers was her gaslighting America.
And, the yellow dress.. I just saw it for a minute on a thread but I had to ask.. what was that?! The color was atrocious.. like BP said.. "too much jaundice going on there with the two of them.. " paraphrasing.
Dunno what statement she was tying to make with that white table cloth she wore, though? Doesn't matter what she wears standing next to the world's biggest perverted asshole.. they're both ugly.. meldontcare and the Fraud..

I almost suspect that people sometimes set her up for things. It's too easy, seeing her very limited grasp of the English language. Someone probably told her that the speech that was written for her, plagiarizing Mrs. Obama, was absolutely original and perfect and that the jacket she wore made a statement that people could really relate to! When I saw that jacket, the first thing that came to my mind was someone who had a note pinned to her back saying "kick me." Trump is so sadistic, he could well have set people up to do it to her. Just a little punishment, to kind of keep her in line and remind her who is boss.

Lest she ruins her face lift.
I do not feel sorry for her. She is as shallow as he is. She chooses to wear clothes once that cost more than what a low wage worker makes in over a year, and flaunts it. $800 shoes that ruin her feet and back? Like poor people are going to flock to her ?
Melania Trump has to know that people all over the world are laughing at her behind her back because they cannot stand the asshole she is married to and chooses to be seen with.

(43,293 posts)Trump as the Baby Blimp may be such a thing. We Americans use the phrase "Keep the ball rolling." Here's the political origin of that phrase:
"The 'keep the ball rolling' version of the phrase owes its origin and popularity to the US presidential election of July 1840. That election is widely regarded as introducing all the paraphernalia of present-day elections, that is, campaign songs, advertising slogans and publicity stunts of all kinds. The unpopular incumbent President Martin Van Buren was pitted against Whig candidates, General William Harrison, a war hero who had fought against the Shawnee Indians at Tippecanoe, and John Tyler. The Whig candidates revelled in a folksy 'cider-drinking, log-cabin, men of the people' image and adopted the first known political slogan - 'Tippecanoe and Tyler, too'. A song of the same name was considered to have sung Harrison into the presidency:
keep the ball rollingDon't you hear from every quarter, quarter, quarter,
Good news and true,
That swift the ball is rolling on
For Tippecanoe and Tyler Too.
Harrison's campaign literature referred to Victory Balls. These weren't, as we might expect, dance parties that celebrated his famous victory, but ten-foot diameter globes made of tin and leather, which were pushed from one campaign rally to the next. His supporters were invited to attend rallies and push the ball on to the next town, chanting 'keep the ball rolling'. "

And the former model was dressed appropriately for the occasion: wearing an American designer - J.Mendel - to fly her country's fashion flag abroad. But there was something about the flowing buttercup yellow chiffon gown that looked familiar to some, drawing comparisons with Belle from Beauty and the Beast among some other fictional characters.
While some were quick to praise her commitment to making a dramatic entrance, others pointed out that it was strikingly similar to the now-iconic dress in the final scene of the Disney film.

(17,984 posts)Mortify once actually meant "put to death", but no longer. Its "deaden" sense is most familiar to us in the phrase "mortifying the flesh", which refers to a custom once followed by devout Christians, who would starve themselves, deprive themselves of every comfort, and even whip themselves in order to subdue their bodily desires and punish themselves for their sins. But the most common use of mortify today is the "humiliate" sense; its connection with death is still apparent when we speak of "dying of embarrassment".
