in the midst of the horrible tragedy in my state, I just forgot.

I forgot for the morning, then remembered and felt very bad. First yr I've done this. My only excuse is I was being distracted by the tragedy. We can not forget.

unless we are arguing about some current situation and someone brings it up as comparison or example or something.
there was an article about Truman's grandson paying tribute to those who died from the bombing.

since there are usually a lot. I must admit though that this is the first time in my adult life that I was distracted by the news (Sikh shooting) and forgot until this afternoon.
