. . .a guy in the lab who was showing someone how to run a certain titration.

He told the person he was teaching to add just a "half a drop" at a time near the end.

I asked him "What the heck is a half drop?" It's still a whole drop, it's just smaller.

Just like here: If the meeting is half as long, it's still a whole meeting.
