(37,648 posts)He's the stupid guy who said that businesses being able to refuse service to anyone, even based on race, is fine, because business interests will prevail and prevent discrimination. I kid you not.
I guess he's too young to remember that blacks were, in fact, refused service to most businesses in the south, despite so-called business interests. Hate trumps profits. And when you refuse to serve, that impacts a race's ability to make money...which in turn means that continuing to refuse service doesn't affect your profits much, since they don't have much money, anyway!
I remember in elections past that some Democrats were going to vote for one of the Pauls...either Rand or Ron. They thought their being libertarian (they are socially liberal on some issues) meant they were like Democrats. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are anti-government, which makes them socially liberal in some ways, and anti-protection of rights in other ways.

So many talking points and Jake is letting him off.

You bet your ass he would.

(11,607 posts)The complicit TRAITORS in the GOP have talking points each week. This weeks was that it's all Obama's fault.
All of them will parrot this back any chance they can.
All we can do is overwhelm the voting booths every chance we get.
