57. Actually, my mom grew up in New Haven. And my grandfather was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan.

My dad's family were also Dodgers fans, but they were all from Brooklyn, so that is to be expected.

New Haven is the final stop on the Metro North railroad. It is reasonably deep into the state and I think it is safe to assume that there are some Red Sox/Celtics/Patriots/Bruins fans there. It's not like being in Greenwich or Stanford.

I'm not sure what prompted me to ask about the Red Sox, as opposed to the Yankees and Mets. I wasn't really focused on that part, I was just curious about whether she was raised a Rangers fan and remained one after relocation.

Of course, she says that she is retired. So maybe she is 66 and was born in 1952. That would mean that she was 19 by the time the Washington Senators relocated to Arlington, TX.

I guess that question didn't really make much sense to begin with, LOL. I was just in the mood to post it.

Everything from Farmers to Pharmacists, Hedge Fund traders to Hedge Clippers. There are ex-pat Americans living abroad, to English speakers in numerous countries around the globe. Members from all 50 states and Canada as well as protectorates and provinces.

The regular participants of this website are by and large white, middle class, middle aged and older, doing OK but could be doing better, born before there were 50 states and remember when our government was run by grownups.

In short, a decent cross section of American liberalism.
