It built slowly and was kind of rolling so it was pretty far away.

(9,298 posts)If only they could all be like that. I remember back in '87 experiencing the first earthquake. I was in the shower and it was a doozie. I peeked out the bathroom window and the pavement was actually rolling. This one didn't really get my chihuahua's attention.

Mount Rushmore will have eroded away in about 7 million,...so,....I ain't planning on a intercity party.
