Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor joined "Bald Vinny" Milano and the rest of the Bleacher Creatures at Yankee Stadium for Wednesday's game against the Orioles. (Associated Press)
Derryl Cousins' umpiring crew may have had to answer to a higher court on Wednesday, as Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor was in the Yankee Stadium bleachers for the Yankees' afternoon game against the Orioles. The Yankees scored 11 in the first three innings, so there was probably little reason for the Yankee fan to get too upset the with judgements handed down by Cousins, Ron Kulpa, Jim Wolf and Alan Porter.
Sotomayor was in Section 203 for the "Roll Call" of "Bald Vinny" Milano in the top of the first inning, before moving to other seats. Milano said despite having better seats, she still qualified for membership and gave her a Bleacher Creatures lapel pin membership badge.
"You never know," Milano joked to the Associated Press. "She's not a bad friend to have."
Sotomayor was born in the Bronx and is a big baseball and Yankees fan.

As much as I thought the players were being greedy assholes, the owners had no right to use replacement players.
