What exactly is trump accusing Hillary of? All I hear is "Hillary's emails" OK ..what about them???

I guess I must have missed something.

I have not heard or read of a crime. What on earth is he talking about? Hilary's emails?? What about them???

Endlessly over and over and over and over... state the crime Comrade trump... can you please ????

Is it a crime to send email??? Is it a crime to have an email?

Is there something in them??? Some major cover up??

Yea I know she had a basement server and some security protocols were broken.

But just saying "Hillary's emails" over and over thousands of times ??? So what about them??

I can play that game "trump's emails"!

"Cohens's emails!!"

"Jarred's emails!!!"

Lock them up!!!

Please for the sake of my sanity tell us ... Is it the one where it says you colluded with hostile power and enemy to win the election? ... Oh oh... I wrote that one.

and they claimed that Hillary's crimes were way worse than Trump's crimes (whataboutism). When I asked "how so?" none could come up with anything and one even started crying because she couldn't. Her comment later was that "we have a great team but a lousy coach"

The "how so?" question completely undid my mothers argument about Hillary & the Democrats' so called crimes too.

I find it a wonderful way to debunk this argument without being hostile.

Trump supporters. Rather than argue with them, ask them questions. They are generally looking just to argue. "How so?" is a perfect reply. Obviously, they don't know, they are just repeating tired media taglines. Making them think, instead of just recite might actually help deprogram them some day.

Mon Aug 20, 2018, 06:55 AM
Aug 2018

Despite the findings of the FBI and the release of thousands of her emails which revealed no national security breaches had occurred and her server was never successfully attacked. The nit-pickers have made a big deal about a handful of emails retroactively labeled classified or having a tiny "c" but ironically these emails have been publicly disclosed so obviously they had no true national security importance.

The anti-Hillary gang harped on idea that merely by having the private server, national security was at risk even though all evidence to date shows that she did not use that email system for classified information and it was so secure that hackers were never able to breach her private server. The hacked stolen emails were from DNC and John Podesta, none came from her private server.

“From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information, which is the lowest level of classification. Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.”

Hillary's government emails were largely captured when copies were sent to the .gov account. She had independent attorneys (with top secret clearance) sort through all emails and providing a copy of all "business-related" ones to the government. She actually had several backups of the server at different times, so nothing of consequence was "lost". Chances are that the backups still exist, but are not provided because her attorneys consider them privileged or not subject to FOIA. Regardless, some of the old servers were supposedly wiped or destroyed, while at least one was stored at a contractor's business.

Nothing is "missing", except some old personal emails (cake recipes, yoga schedules, etc.), that were examined at least once or twice by various lawyers. How far will this go in the future? Will all audio, video, email, texts, and records of politicians be public records? Who knows?

--------------------------------------

Think about it...could you produce emails from home 5 or 6 or 7 years ago? Here are some links I collected back when the topic was hot:

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/hillary-clintons-email-server-traced-to-home-based-service-ap/

In November 2012, without explanation, Clinton's private email account was reconfigured to use Google's servers as a backup in case her own personal email server failed, according to Internet records. That is significant because Clinton publicly supported Google's accusations in June 2011 that China's government had tried to break into the Google mail accounts of senior U.S. government officials. It was one of the first instances of a major American corporation openly accusing a foreign government of hacking.
Then, in July 2013, five months after she resigned as secretary of state, Clinton's private email server was reconfigured again to use a Denver-based commercial email provider, MX Logic, which is now owned by McAfee Inc., a top Internet security company.

The White House possesses no archived e-mail messages for many of its component offices, including the Executive Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President, for hundreds of days between 2003 and 2005, according to the summary of an internal White House study that was disclosed yesterday by a congressional Democrat.
The 2005 study — whose credibility the White House attacked this week — identified 473 separate days in which no electronic messages were stored for one or more White House offices, said House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.).

When the scandal was hot I visited the GAO site to look at IT audits re violations, it was eye-opening.

The larger story here is how incompetent and insecure data communications are across Government departments resulting in officials using private emails and generally skirting department guidelines.

56. I agree...the government did a terrible job of email security for the most part.

And there were all kinds of vendors providing service, employees using private accounts, etc., etc. It was easy to make rules, but almost no one had the knowledge, money, or desire to follow the regulations.

Even today, nothing is really safe from hacking except closed systems and some serious encryption.

The right wingers would start spewing some other bullshit.

SHOES! HILLARY'S SHOES!

They wouldn't have any idea what they are talking about, but they would still run around saying SHOES! SHOES!

He was like, "These are so innocuous -- why didn't she just release them?"

And I wanted to scream "because you know damn well you would have picked some other equally bullshit criticism and run with that instead!"

Trump and the other nutters claim she destroyed 30,000 emails while SoS. It's a total joke, an IT consultant that worked for the State Department destroyed a hard drive several months after the fact, no one knows what was on it, but Hillary had zero to do with it.

And think about the tens of thousands of emails they went through. They found nothing other than 2 emails improperly marked as classified because they didn't have the proper markings in their title and erroneously had a (c) marking way down in the body.

Her private server was probably a poor decision, but it was not illegal. It's a whole lot of nothing.

It is all Trump has. He and his deplorables hate Sec. Clintion. Trump failed to win the popular vote, and hates her because of this. The deplorables hate her because reasons, not the least of which is that they think people with vaginas are for sandwich and baby making, not governing. He can hate on her and keep his trashy base ginned up, and a the same time deflect from his own massive crimes.
