(58,785 posts)And from what ex- prosecutors have said, the prosecutors in the next trial have mountains of evidence. Manafort is not promising himself recovery on a nice tropical island afterward.

(6,324 posts)If so, I hope not. The longer the jury is out the stronger the defense position when making deals as the prosecution is less and less sure of how many counts they can get a conviction on and the more it looks like a possible hung jury.
