US Wages Have Not Yet Reached Wage Parity With Global Economy As Planned.

What most workers have not realized is that they are competing with wages on the rest of the planet. There was even an article years ago in Fortune magazine by some Wall Streeters that wages in US would have to fall significantly for American workers to be able to compete with global economy. We are losing jobs because American workers cannot compete with labor costs in places like China, Asia and other "developing" nations.

Recent factory factory closures should give workers a clue. The GOP will do nothing about it and nor will Trump. And the GOP will obstruct the Democrats if and when they have power from addressing the issue. Plus we must protect even low skill jobs. NOT every American worker is going to have the high level skills needed. And there NEVER WILL BE enough high level skill jobs to meet every worker's needs.

There was a time when lower skilled jobs paid a living wage. Today's economic model is saying that EVERY WORKER who is not super skilled will JUST HAVE TO WORK FOR LESS THAN DIRT WAGES. Neither party is addressing the need of lower skilled workers except to say they will have to just live with being in poverty their entire lives.

We are now in an economy that says IF YOU CANNOT JUSTIFY YOUR EXISTENCE you might as well just die. That meme means that people unable to work or who have OUTLASTED THEIR ECONOMIC USEFULNESS should be cast aside like junk in the garbage heap.
