Santorum Feels 'Sorry' For Man Who Glitter-Bombed Him
Speaking on Iowa radio Rick Santorum was asked for his thoughts on the man who glitter-bombed him several days ago. Santorum leaned on his Christian upbringing in response:
"My feeling is, that's part when you open yourself up to the public, you're going to get good things happen to you and not so nice things. What I'm taking the approach of is you move on. I feel sorry for that man that he felt like he was compelled he had to do that. Like I do, what I'm supposed to do, is you know, according to our faith, is to pray for them, and I hope people work that out."

Anybody disagree?

Obama should come out strongly and forcefully in favor of marriage equality.
So, too, should any Republican candidate with an ounce of humanity.

(82,849 posts)I feel sorry that the glitter-bomber felt like he was compelled to do what he did, too. But if Santorum wasn't such a self-righteous bigot, it wouldn't have been necessary at all. As it is, Santorum just suffered some public embarrassment, as opposed to having his very existence questioned by a large, vocal segment of society bent on carrying out his annihilation.
