It is possible that Trump was never actually the President.
It is possible that we are all dead, still progressives, and we do not realize it.
It is possible that if we are dead, and if we are in Hell, that Trump will be the President for eternity.
On the bright side, even if we are dead, and in Hell, that means that Trump is not President for the living.

But then there was the episode where an entire town was trapped in separate universe run by a petulant five year old with enormous power.

(11,738 posts)Traditionally the anti-Christ is supposed to be a person who brings peace and happiness to the world. A person who through a charisma and works convinces most of the people on earth, that he is a benevolent person. It is not until later that the anti-Christ begins to implement a program determining loyalty and "leading people away from Christ's teachings".
Trump would never qualify as the anti-Christ. He is too stupid and transparent. While he has given the bigoted and ignorant people in this country a leader. He has certainly not persuaded anywhere near the majority of people in the US, not to mention the rest of the world, to follow his lead.
Trump's appeal globally is completely tied to the power that the US has to influence economics and make war. Trump has NO respect from other leaders. No one really even fears him. They fear what the US may do under Trump's presidency.
People often think that the anti-Christ is the opposite of Christ in that they will be a jerk and arrogant. The danger with the anti-Chris, for people who believe in that, is that because they are benevolent and seemingly a good leader, that they can be easily lead astray. Remember that the worst thing about the Devil according to people who follow those beliefs, is that the Devil is the Prince of Lies. Not a pathological and transparent liar like Trump, but one who can convince people to turn away from God.
Trump can only do that to people who have already strayed far far away from any morality.
