Went. Huge meth/heroin issues there, (I love Ohio, my husband's family are from Oh, as was my mother's) I just know many people from there that have thrown away bright futures because of addiction to these drugs.

The tri-state area was used as test market for oxycodone. The fact that drugs and drug fronts are the source of income for most families.

I lived there in the late 70's for only a few months. It felt like one giant insane asylum. I had a cashier at a liquor store ask me if I needed any Quaaludes LOL

In side a jail, and somehow the people who responded with assistance (inmates and guards) were also impacted merely by being around patient zero.

(I thought I heard it on an NPR news report - but since I'm in Ohio, it could have been local)
