"The president does not appreciate the magnitude of what could be in store next year..."

“Winter is coming,” The Post quotes one ally in communication with the White House. “Assuming Democrats win the House, which we all believe is a very strong likelihood, the White House will be under siege. But it’s like tumbleweeds rolling down the halls over there. Nobody’s prepared for war.”

“Within Trump’s orbit, there is consensus that his current legal team is not equipped to effectively navigate an onslaught of congressional demands, and there has been broad discussion about bringing on new lawyers experienced in white-collar defense and political scandals,” The Post said.

A spreadsheet leaked over the weekend from the Republican caucus about possible investigations they anticipate Democrats will do if they take back the House in November. The list includes everything from ethics investigations into Trump’s cabinet to the inadequate response to Puerto Rico when it was hit by Hurricane Maria.

“Still, Trump has not directed his lawyers or his political aides to prepare an action plan, leaving allies to fret that the president does not appreciate the magnitude of what could be in store next year,” The Post continued.

... has been mentally unstable for years, and the stress he's under is exacerbating his unstable condition.

His ego won't allow him to believe that he can be taken down. He's too smart to be outwitted, outplayed and outlasted by people like Mueller.

He continues to surround himself with people who tell him what he wants to hear, instead of what he needs to hear. I've no doubt that Giuliani is constantly filling his head with the idea that everything "can be taken care of", and there's no need to worry.

As we've all heard repeatedly, WH staff do everything they can to placate him, keep him calm, to try to fend-off his penchant for saying/doing things that are self-destructive.

Given the above, it's no wonder that he is clueless (as he is on most things) about what's really going on.

Rachel had a segment last night that tied to the WH Attorney leaving - and have clarity on the people who surround 45.

Two more months. However, I don't think it's going to be easy. We are in for two years of insanity. I don't think 45 will go quietly, gracefully, or with dignity.

There was some GOPer trying to demand that we put Impeachment front and center.

If it is so mission critical - then the GOP should be putting it front and center - and doing it NOW!

They're saying that they want to see the investigation run its course and evidence brought put before hand. I just don't hear/see a lot of Dem politicians/leaders banging the impeachment drum yet. It's heavily done by Republicans using it as a fear tactic but I suspect it's actually wishful thinking and they 'want' Dems to clean up THEIR mess (again).

"Takeover" is correct in the lead within the article, but the headline should be "take over"

He was basically threatening evangelical leaders the other day that if Democrats won, there would be violence and all the executive orders he's signed would be overturned quickly.
