12. The bots on Twitter...question

I have a favor to ask of those who still have a Twitter account. I deleted mine after the shit hit the fan. I know registered Twitter uses can tell a bot account from a “real” account, I’ve seen a chart on here highlighting the differences.

Correct me if I’m wrong up there please. Can someone tell me approximately how many of T’s followers are bots please? I thought I read a news article last Spring showing that a large percentage were bots.

I ask because I see an uptick in his positive responses and they are really bothering me. I know he has hate followers, etc because I can still read responses. Maybe a site or individual is keeping track of this, if so I don’t know where to look. Or if someone could tell me how to count the bots or even recognize them, I could return to Twitter and look for myself. Thanks for any advice or help. -Emma

13. Recognizing bots isn't too hard.

Often, they'll have 6 or 7 numbers at the end of their name, or their name is something like "TRUMPMAGA4EVER" or "MAGAMAGAMAGATRUMP", stuff like that.

If you look at their profiles, they're SUPER over the top Pro-Trump. Every post is extremely pro-Trump or anti-Democratic Party, pictures of Trump with fireworks all around him, etc.

I’ve certainly seen those over the top tweets. I read a story of a seventy-something grandma who was complaining about being banned for being a bot. She and her other GOP friends spend 14 hours per day tweeting pro-Trump crap all over Twitter.

They apparently work in shifts to constantly get their “message” out. I always think of the trolls as being 20-30 year old males-not an army of grandmothers. That was a little shocking to me.
