2 of my friends who have never voted and stubborn as hell both registered and can't wait to vote for Beto! I hope there are many more stories like this across the state. GOTV
I am also picking up some more yard signs this weekend for my republican neighbor and a different friend who is already a regular DEM voter (however the last sign she had in her yard was 2008 for Obama).
YAY Beto-momentum I can feel it coming on and it is awesome!

(30,481 posts)She has always voted but Beto has generated additional enthusiasm. She has even gone to townhalls to support Dems in neighboring districts. Her new enthusiasm can truly be linked to Beto. One of the best parts, she is bringing friends to these events with her. She told a Republican friend of hers that she would go to a Republican townhall if she would go to a Democrats townhall.

(938 posts)We are all out of Beto signs again. They are in high demand, even in this rural, red county.

(36,827 posts)If Beto loses in a close race, it just means the GOP is not more than one or two elections away from their demise. Their demographic is constantly shrinking and they can't hope to get much more of them to the polls.
Once Texas goes, so goes the rest of the nation. Once the GOP starts to go downhill, their monied interests will start to defect. The GOP is nearing their tipping point, and the smart ones already know it.

Nice guy that had bought the who "us vs them" GOPropaganda.
In 2016 he was all in for Cruz and Culberson. Had a Cruz for president 2016 sign in his front yard, and a Cluberson one as well. He wanted Cruz for President, but feels both Cruz and Culberson have failed the Republican party by fallin in line with 45.
He's now joined me in having "Beto" and "Lizzie Fletcher" signs in his yard, and is joining me for some canvassing.
He's not anywhere near being one of us yet, but he now fully believes we're more American than the tRumpblican party.

Keep spreading the word and bringing them in one by one. I think we have an actual shot at this in November!!
