Too bad, though. Cindy is pro-choice (and has much reason to HATE Trump)

I know that Meghan has said multiple times that she is strongly anti-abortion, so I've wondered about Cindy's position on it.

But against overturning Roe v. Wade.

Also from the same interview:

Couric: How do you feel about creationism? Do you think it should be taught in schools?

Cindy McCain: I think both sides should be taught in schools. I think the more children have a frame of reference and an opportunity to read and know and make better decisions and judgments when they are adults.

There are a lot of DUers who have (over many years) argued being personally against abortion but PRO-CHOICE. Because of a personal opposition to abortion for themselves, they could just as easily be labeled "pro-life" a ridiculous label IMO anyway, as who the hell is anti-life. One is either Pro-choice or Anti-choice and she has repeatedly supported the right to choose, specifically voicing support for Roe v Wade.

I'm not a supporter of any Republican. Just saying she might well be the best we could hope for.

but then Cindy would pop up and be a constant reminder. I think she would be good in that position. She's run her own business and obviously made some good decisions. Better than Trump's performance.

next couple days." (McCain's services). It struck me as so childlike. Been trying to think of an analogy. Like a young boy telling his younger sister "Mommy said we can't open our presents yet because santa would be mad and it's only 3 more days to wait". Not really "getting" it ...just mimicking what they were told.

I also remember all the suspicions around Mel's death.

I guess from the comments on this OP, though, that the Chump sycophant in AZ won't do the same.

"Silent Hattie" Caraway in my state did, and while her husband was alive she played the "merely the wife" role publicly, I highly suspect she was more involved than she claimed when she said she "added voting" to her list of household chores. After all, she later ran and won on her own merits, saying she didn't want to merely be a placeholder while a man was groomed for the job. But at the time, political ambitions in a woman were "not proper".

It may be offered out of courtesy, but if Cindy doesn't want it for keeps, then she's going to have to look at what's really best for John's legacy -- to be that placeholder while a person John would HATE to have his seat is potentially groomed for it, or to refuse and let them have to pick from whoever looks likely now.
