Obama is the quintessential empty suit. They just want him to turn out blacks and prevent more blacks from supporting Trump. IMHO he will turn out whites and get his clock cleaned in the process.

As the first (half) black American President HE had a unique opportunity to improve the lives of African Americans. He had an opportunity to lead the race higher, to mend fences in modern times. He had an opportunity that may not come again for decades and he let it sail by. He chose to marginalize the issue or not address it at all.
It is one of the biggest wasted opportunities of his Presidency IMO.
