Gina Raimondo is the incumbent Democratic Governor. Both leaders have been declared the winners. From the vote counts, it looks like Raimondo may be re-elected in November.

(67,782 posts)Good that Whitehouse and Cicillene have won (not that there was much doubt) - that Lt. Governor is going down to the wire.

(14,565 posts)Rematch of strange race from 2014. Raimondo won by 4% with a third party candidate taking 21% of the vote.
This time it is a heavy blue slant nationwide instead of heavy red slant like 2014. That should be enough for Raimondo but she is not as popular now as in 2014.
Race is considered maybe 65-70% likelihood for Raimondo
