Since The Legislature Made It Illegal To Plan For Climate Change Problems In North Carolina...

Please explain to me why tax payers from responsible states should pay to help them when they BY LAW refuse to help themselves?

It is illegal to restrict development close to the shoreline accounting for climate change from what I hear.

We all know the answer, but still.....

Between what it costs, and what it would cost if they were responsible like much of the rest of the country.

Building codes. Shouldn’t they be paying more to insure themselves or something?

ALL states deserve full recovery attention

Even if you are only playing devils advocate your timing is way off

I moved from Wilmington last year
Many people i love are about to have their lives damaged

I would like to see the best response possible for all areas affected

Then make them pay the difference. Or at least the people profiting from developing the lowlands that absolutely will flood....

Responsible states shouldn't pay their tab since they PASSED A LAW TO IGNORE CLIMATE SCIENCE.

...would it be we had a President that pointed out this bullshit.

It's simple: "North Carolina, as your executive leader, we will extend all the help you need, but please be aware that your inattention to your own water ways and infrastructure are the reason you need our help. People of North Carolina, we can help clean up the mess, but you can mitigate the mess to begin with, by electing politicians that will fix it."
