A Republican mailer in House District 47 targets Democrat Anna Eskamani for extremely vulgar language.
Shes facing Republican Stockton Reeves in the Nov. 6 election. The two are scheduled to debate Friday, hosted by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce.
The ad, funded by the Republican Party of Florida, depicts Eskamani hoisting a megaphone and quotes her saying I dont take [expletive] ever, Look at the [expletive] we have to put up with, and [Expletive] the patriarchy.
It also questions if Eskamani is the example our leaders should be setting for our children? and says she's everything wrong with politics today.
Eskamani, an Orlando progressive, called the ad an attack on her character and knocked Reeves for his A rating from the National Rifle Association and support for voucher schools.
It won't work, but this mailer has some truth to it, because I refuse to back down when it comes to fighting for the hard working families of Orange County, and Im not going to take advice from Reeves or the entrenched lobbyists who back him, Eskamani said in an email to supporters.
The district covers downtown Orlando east of Interstate 4, plus part of Winter Park, Edgewood, Belle Isle, Holden Heights and Conway.

(8,224 posts)My larger circle of friends and professional acquaintances touches both of theirs. While Ms. Eskamani is running as the Democratic candidate and would have my vote on that basis alone, what I can glean about the two from those I know comes to the same result regardless of party. Mr. Reeves simply needs to find a different hobby, running for office does not work for him.
