People in Maine are mobilizing with the aim to vote Collins out of office

Seems to me that she may have very little future in Maine politics unless she takes a strong stand on the side of regular order regarding this Ford/Kavanaugh issue.

To save her political life and personal reputation she might consider threatening to leave the Party and declare herself as a No-vote on Kavanaugh unless an FBI investigation takes place.

She can be the champion for Maine women or she can be a Trump pawn. In the end all politics is local.

2. She's been there long enough, but they can't even get rid of fucking LePage

So I'm not sure how they get rid of Collins who is infinitely more likable (not saying much) than that bloated POS.

Splitting the vote gave that mini-Hitler LaPage the wins, with 38% one year and 47% 4 years later.

I had always thought it was a blue state and yet they have a repug governor and a repug senate. I really got that one wrong.

The difference is Smith had spine and was the first Republican to condemn McCarthy.

8. It's cold comfort that she'll live with the shame

Given that she'll bear great responsibility for Kavanaugh taking a seat on the SCOTUS.

Shame and the loss of her seat won't nearly compare to the tragedies that will happen when Roe is overturned and some states will ban the right to choose.

(Hint: she'll vote Yes) She needs to be voted out of office. We need a Dem on that seat. Preferably a woman (I'm a guy fyi).

I don't think so!

They should all make phone calls to her office to complain abt her commitment to vote for Kava-NO!
Then donate $ for the Go Fund me page to raise money for Collins' next challeger...

12. No, it's the next cycle - Mainers are organizing against her right now

She plans to run again.

This Kavanaugh issue will sink her if she doesn't plant her feet on the right side of history. Roe will be overturned and will be a flaming major issue during her campaign season.
