The ability to manipulate votes remotely with the "voting" machines & tabulators has been known and
raised in testimony by computer experts at certification hearings for years. Yet the vendors, i.e. lying corporations such as ES&S, have gotten away with covering up this info. and have avoided any consequences for violating elections laws.

Product literature distributed by these companies used to show that some of the machines had a modem feature -- that was years ago - at least as far back as 2004, probably much earlier.

The vendors continue peddling their election grifting gear with intense lobbying, rewarding cooperative elections officials by laundering $$ via contracts, and other tactics.

The pattern of the multi-prong attack of the GOP has been clear since Rotten Ronnie. They just add more parts as opportunity arises (or is contrived). It would not surprise me to read that the "hanging chads" were created as an excuse for the Shrub and his cronies to push for electronic voting.

The public cannot watch electrons. The voter cannot watch electrons.

When electronic voting machines are used, neither the individual voter nor the general public can verify:
(a) that a vote was cast,
(b) whether or not the vote that was cast was counted,
(c) whether or not the vote that was cast was counted correctly,
(d) whether or not the votes were tampered with after polling,
(e) whether or not the count has been altered,
(f) whether or not the machine has been altered before, during or after polling (hint: it doesn't require access to the machine -- it can be set up to do the altering without intervention).

Paper allows the voter to verify his or her own vote without revealing that vote to the general public. The general public can verify 1 voter, 1 paper and can verify that the papers are not tampered with before counting. The general public can verify the counting of paper votes.

Sequoia Voting Systems Responsible for 2000 Presidential Debacle?

https://www.wired.com/2007/08/sequoia-voting/
SNIP
Now new questions are being raised about who was responsible for the faulty punch cards in that election. And according to last night's Dan Rather Reports episode, the fingers point to Sequoia Voting Systems, which not only makes e-voting machines that replaced punch cards but also created the punch cards that failed in Florida.

Rather and his producers spoke with several former workers of Sequoia who revealed that in 2000 the company changed the paper stock it used for punch cards to paper made by Boise Cascade and that they knew before the election that the punch cards that Sequoia was producing would cause problems. In fact, pre-election testing by Sequoia showed that the cards were not punching cleanly and that dangling chads were going to be a likely problem in the election. The original transcript from the Rather program is difficult to read because it lacks punctuation and paragraph breaks, but I've added paragraph breaks here so you can understand more clearly what the workers told Rather.

Supposedly way too expensive to put a printer on the machines for a paper trail.

Funny how small credit card machines have had a printer for many years.

Even just the musings that the electronic voting machines have the ability to be changed or hack should be HUGE red flag. Why is this software allowed on the machines?

It doesnt take thousands of votes to steal an election. In some places it could be as little as 100. Just enough to ensure a recount isnt required by law.

I know I'm yelling at a wall when I direct these allegations to the Republican party, who tries to make it look like they want to get to the bottom of election fraud. It's just more slight of hand 3 Card Monty by these criminals.
