Is Romney running on the Ryan plan or not?

(6,996 posts)That RW jerk saying Romney supports a "version" of the Ryan plan. Flippity-flop.

(17,651 posts)The rude prick asked her a question and absolutely talked over her time to speak. THEN had the balls to tell her she can't answer the damn question.

(39,191 posts)Lowry was born in Arlington, Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1990 and won second place in National Review's Young Writer's Contest. He joined William F. Buckley's National Review in 1992 and has been the magazine's editor since 1997.[1] He regularly appears on the Fox News Channel. He has guest-hosted on Hannity and Colmes and Fox & Friends, and is a guest panelist on PBS's The McLaughlin Group, Fox News Watch, and NBC's Meet the Press.
Lowry refused to fight Al Franken when challenged in jest in 2000.[2]
In 2002, Muslim organizations called for Lowry to apologize,[3] after he posted a message on National Review Online's blog, "The Corner", discussing the "nuking" of Mecca, as retaliation for a terrorist attack.[4][5]
His book, Legacy: Paying the Price for the Clinton Years[6] is a polemic about President Bill Clinton, whom he deprecates as "Navel-Gazer-in-Chief."[7] He also has a syndicated column with King Features. He once served as a guest on The Colbert Report.
Most recently, Lowry and Keith Korman wrote Banquo's Ghosts, a fiction novel published by Vanguard Press in 2009.[8] The political thriller's plot revolves around a nuclear-armed Iran and an inebriated leftist journalist.[9]

(27,461 posts)A very wise TV executive once told me that the key to TV is projecting through the screen. Its one of the keys to the success of, say, a Bill OReilly, who comes through the screen and grabs you by the throat. Palin too projects through the screen like crazy. Im sure Im not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, Hey, I think she just winked at me. And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that cant be learned; its either something you have or you dont, and man, shes got it.

What a waste of oxygen that Gregory is.

(17,651 posts)MTP is not the MTP it used to be - it's a pathetic, fake show, like Fox News, and should be taken off air.
The only thing discussed were right wing talking points.

They were all coached to do this - happens regularly.

(13,071 posts)I agree with you, that she is never given enough time...and I was furious with that rw prick....and I was thinking about it afterwards, because I thought Rachel should not have engaged with him. She got down to his level.
But then, I thought that the rwprick would never have treated a male that way. And that Rachel must fight to 1) get time to speak from the host, and 2) to compete among those who interrupt her constantly--who do not interrupt any of the men on the panel.
Nonetheless, the sentence she did get to say, was that her opinion does not matter. And, the rwprick was suggesting that Obama and Ryan are no different on medicare --which is simply not true.
Edited to say, oh, by the way ewww ("wrinkled old ass" . I am way too visual for my own good.

(39,191 posts)OMG she was hobbled by the RW BIAS today, and claiming she punted with the little time she had is unfair.
She ISN'T running for President, she doesn't have to answer his gotcha questions.

(13,071 posts)I guess, my frustration shows through. We get so little time on those shows to counter the wall of rw bias...that we must make the most of every bit of time we have.

(13,071 posts)You misunderstand me if you are suggesting that I believe the two plans for medicare are similar. But, that is what the RW did this morning...and no one denied it. That was my point.

(24,450 posts)I'm just responding to the RW absurdity on the subject. Sorry if that wasn't clearer in my response.
