On NBC’s Meet The Press on Sunday, Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus reiterated the false claim that the Affordable Care Act guts Medicare, claiming that President Obama’s attempt to increase the program’s solvency amounts to “stealing” from America’s seniors.

“If any person in this entire debate has blood on their hands in regard to Medicare, it’s Barack Obama,” Priebus insisted:

PRIEBUS: This president stole — he didn’t cut Medicare — he stole $700 billion from Medicare to fund Obamacare. If any person in this entire debate has blood on their hands in regard to Medicare, it’s Barack Obama. He’s the one that’s destroying Medicare.

But Obama’s health care law extends the solvency of Medicare, and has already saved seniors $4 billion on prescription drugs.

11. I am now on medicare

I also am on a Medicare Advantage plan which will probably go away or reduce benefits because of the "cuts" in Medicare. Most of the medicare "cuts" come from the extra government subsidies for Medicare Advantage.
That said, I completely agree with these "cuts." This is a question of fairness and expense.
A majority of the subsidies end up in the pockets of the insurance industry.
Advantage plans are not evenly available across the country, so many seniors cannot take "advantage" of the small part of the subsidies that decrease their expenses.

would post the actual printed words of the law,bill or reg that we are talking about.I don't know how to cut and paste etc.I do know that the Medicare Advantage Plan is what the cut is, though.I wish the Obama team would put in an ad how many millions of dollars Romney continues to earn through his healthcare Bain deals.Bain had/has millions in healthcare entities,like HCA hospitals,and various diagnostic hard and software companies in health.They also are into equipent etc. This is all disguised in the 2010 tax returns.For example,"HERCULES II LLC" is actually the pot of money that is the Romney/Bain portion of stock of HCA, which is Hospital Corporation Of America.Romney continues to earn millions of dollars from Medicare and Medicaid payments to these hospitals. I have never heard him say that he continues to earn huge amounts of money from these programs.
