movement, allegations come one after the other when victims see others come forward.

Repugs would be risking even more doubters of Kavanaugh.

Even if the Congressional GOPers aren't behind it, rank and file GOP supporters can do the dirty deed of creating easily disproven accusations themselves.

I would not be surprised for some obviously easy to proved false accusations to be planted to taint those that are truthful. The first three did not claim that Kavanaugh committed rape. They represent a pattern of him getting drunk and being influenced by friends around him to grope, grind, and expose himself. He was present at parties and spontaneous hang outs where intoxicated boys tried to take advantage of intoxicated girls. His previous denials of such occurrences and other outright lies while under oath during his Senate confirmation hearing are enough to disqualify him.

The GOP desperately needs to find something to make Kavanaugh a sympathetic character, and exposing some over the top accusations as false will be used to fit that narrative.

Be careful.

They are going to use it for plausible deniability. Anonymous will be featured with nary a mention of the other two named.

If trump voters think that they will ever get to move on with their lives, they've got another thing coming. Never let them forget what they have inflicted upon us.

There's no rush in getting witnesses 4 - 10,000. Every one needs to be proven credible, otherwise Kavanaugh is confirmed.

...of having the FBI investigate them and find them without merit, and then use that finding to cast doubt on Ford. Whereas their current strategy seems to be the opposite: only allow Ford to speak, try to poke holes in her account (“How is it that you can’t remember the house at which this party took place, Mrs. Ford? If it really happened, isn’t that something someone would remember?”), and then declare her “discredited” and use that judgment to conclude that the other allegations were also likely fabricated and unnecessary to consider further.

The GOP refuses to follow "regular order" to allow witnesses to be brought forward similar to what was done during the Clarence Thomas confirmation.

IIRC, it was a "senior sen Dem aide" who was concerned about Avenatti's work.

There were many of those around. If it weren't for Avenatti, Cohen wouldn't have been outed so soon in Mueller's investigation, let alone would he have started cooperating directly with Mueller once SDNY got ahold of his stuff.
