If you've ever witnessed this in a loved one, you would know. It happenend to my father.
For me Trump's speech today was a stunning example, and for a moment I felt sorry for him.

(12,344 posts)People keep saying he gets worse and worse, but I just see the same thing over and over. He lies, he makes stuff up, he attacks, he says what his followers want to hear and he says it the way they like to hear it. If challenged, he gets even crazier. He's always been this way.
It's all a persona. But since he is a malignant narcissist, there is no human being underneath. It's just personas all the way down.
