(86,636 posts)I'm indoors for the day and all I have is NPR and they are airing the whole thing so no news or music or anything all f'ing day again.
I was out in the fields, literally, for almost three weeks without news and this was an all day event when I went out! Guess nothing else happened that whole time. I am all for making these hearings available but I can't take this all day stuff for weeks. It's too cold here to be outside all day now.

(6,121 posts)After the Kavanaugh hearing, it's all we'll be hearing about. The storm could be weeks away, but they'll hype it. I realize we're in a bubble here in the States, but I'm sure there are other things going on in the world.

(182,823 posts)I'm just asking because I don't know where it's cold already.
Rainy here in Virginia. What's new?
I'm house husbanding it waiting for my new job to start.
in Montana, snow level is at 6,000ft, started getting snow on the peaks lasting more than a day, last week. It's nsowed up high a couple times in August.
I was outdoors on a harvest the past few weeks and stuff is pretty weird with migrations and all. Many of the migratory birds who normally leave in late October have already gone away and the others are leaving, some before the equinox! We're in full on foliage, about six weeks early... feels uncomfortable and creepy. Winter will come early, run hard and stay long this time around.
