Republicans did not have to follow Trump down the road to ruin...

Everybody knows that Trump has something going on with the FBI. He doesn't trust them, not even to investigate one of his appointees. And the Republicans seem to be going along with him? One of the Senators on the Committee even suggested that they had ICE and the ATF investigating, instead of the FBI?

Trump has led them down a rat hole. There was no reason for them to not permit an adequate investigation for such a huge appointment. But Trump wanted it done quickly, and like a good soldier, Mitch McConnell attempted to oblige.

the inability to change course is a pretty strong conservative trait.

It frustrates me no end when progressives evolve on an issue and then get criticized for doing so....

background checks are needed. Love watching GOP stuck in the quicksand.

Kavanaugh is being so badly damaged and if he is confirmed or NOT. A very likely candidate of impeachment to be removed from federal judgeship he currently holds. I see criminal charges coming at him in Maryland and likely prosecution whether he is Supreme Court justice or not.

If there was 1, more likely 4, if there were 4 most likely 12...its the way of sexual predators and abusers

Remember, he's been in office less than 2 years. It took them approximately 40 years to become completely intellectually and morally corrupt.

Over that period they've gradually become close to the very worst versions of themselves. We'd better never allow them to become their very worst. The lives of many millions could well depend on it.

When you take payoffs from a foreign government, and I believe that the Republicans did, and you're led by old white men, Stepford Wives, and cowards...and your final choice to occupy the White House has proof that you took the money...you follow, because you know your next abode will either be a prison cell or obscurity!!!

These Republicans are not people of quality or courage...they remain in power by using racism, bigotry, religious intolerance, and a firm belief that women were never meant to be equal citizens...and most of their base seems to be made up of the same dregs as those they vote for!

Just an opinion.

at least at the start.

The Repubs have been on this downward spiral since Nixon when the first gave in to the Southern Strategy, thereby selling their soul for power. Trump just privided some recent impetus.
