Assuming the nomination falls apart, he goes back to being a federal judge.

Can you see anyone wanting to have him hear a case before him? He's clearly nuts, obscenely partisan, demonstrably unstable. Of course, that appeals to Republicans, but i really can't see any sane lawyer wanting to have him hear a case.

I also see appellate reviews in his future, in addition to the criminal investigations.
