Kavenaugh is using a ploy I have seen too many times before.

Instead of answering questions to explain his bad behavior, he promotes his soup kitchen volunteerism and good deeds as if that can balance out his deplorable life. Even Trump uses this tactic, promoting the economy and whatever positive things happen in N. Korea. I think he even said that it's unthinkable to impeach a president that has such a good record.

Explain it to me, is this a white privilege thing? Does this strategy have a name?
