From my long struggles with alcoholism and the therapy that followed I see clear signs from Kavanaugh today. Clear signs of an angry drunk wether it be dry or wet. His jitteryness to his confrontational attitude and the need to always have a glass going to his lips are clear signs that I've learned through the countless hours spent in rehab. And when you have an angry drunk all rational and normal thought processes go out the window. In my mind he did the things alleged against him. No doubt about it.

(38,363 posts)A mean stupid drunk is disposed to inflict pain or suffering on anyone they perceive against them.
Once upon a time, in a galaxy far away, I had to abandon an angry drunk thesis adviser. He was hurt badly, to his core id, but he didn't try to screw me over, didn't abuse his authority blacklisting me, bad mouthing me, etc...
Nothing you might expect from a mean drunk.
I see in Kavanaugh a dissembling mean drunk.

(27 posts)Alcoholism is a self diagnosed disease. I have it. It took a lot of pain, loss, and suffering for my love ones and myself to find AA and my path to recovery... day by day for over 27 years.
I don't know if Brett K is an alcoholic, but I do know this: I'm saving a seat for him.
