(46,166 posts)Things are working out making purchases locally and directly mail ordering from small businesses.
I was foolish to worry about it not working out. It may not work for everyone. But it's been a smooth transition for us back to how we used to shop for so many things.

(46,166 posts)Then I realized it was only the convenience of a one stop shop that held us. Everything is available directly from small shops online or locally.
We helped Amazon to become the terrible giant it is today. But no more.
I only download free books for my old kindle, lol. And I'm borrowing more and more from the library that offers tons of e-books. It's working out very well.

Some people rely on Amazon's convenience. Health issues, living in rural areas and busy schedules can dictate a lot of shopping habits. But we're doing fine so far living in this metro area.
