It was a bullying tactic--just another tool in the toolbox--to change the subject or to prevent anyone from challenging them when they were lying. Behind the raised voice was the implied threat of violence if you persist.
And something else: at no point did Dr. Blasey Ford shy away from a question. She answered precisely and directly every time, even if her response (rarely) was that she didn't remember.
Kavanaugh was repeatedly evasive: "Will you ask for an FBI investigation?" "I'll do whatever the committee wants."

(15,139 posts)He is in serious need of treatment for alcoholism and a severe anger management problem. Based on today's performance, I was surprised no one called authorities to take him to a mental health facility for evaluation then and there.
