How do I respond to this?!

My coworker who I actually like is married to a conservative minister. I am married to a very liberal minister (obviously being another woman). Yet we have good conversations about being minister wives and how we are always being scrutinized by congregation members.
Anyway, her high school daughter started working for us as a late day admin assistant. She comes in after school and works for a couple of hours every day. It's cool, she answers phones and greets guests and its extra money for her.
Yesterday, though, the youngster came in complaining to me that some boys in her class were making fun of her calling her a liberal and Hillary. I said, what's wrong with that. And she says, "nothing, but I'm definitely not a liberal and they need to stop".
Wtf. I feel like this is coming from her husband. But who knows.

I would be curious to hear her definition. Maybe she is more liberal than she believes.

I suspect that most of the teasing is from kids who aren't that sure of themselves so try to make others feel bad to make themselves feel better.

But, what do I know?

That's a compliment. Does she even know what a liberal is?

As I replied to another poster we happen to live in the one region of Connecticut that is super conservative. I doubt she knows better.but that is sad

But really -- talk about the principles Jesus spoke of... It's GOOD to be liberal, and it's GREAT to be like Hillary -- smart, brave, outspoken, accomplished, working to help children, parents, people who are sick, people who are poor, etc...

And I agree. Luckily for me my boss, who doesn't claim to he a liberal but hates trump with a passion, would back me up on that I think.
