Ku Klux Klan members in their regalia visit the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on or around August 8, 1925.
In their largest public demonstration, the Ku Klux Klan staged a march down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. August 8, 1925. The African American community largely ignored the protest as pastors throughout town urged avoidance of the parade route.
However, one incident occurred when unidentified persons rained tomatoes and other objects on the Klansmen from the top floor of the New Oxford Hotel at the corner of 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue where Pershing Park is today. https://www.flickr.com/photos/washington_area_spark/32683337786

Where Ted Cruz, Cornyn, and Graham were all standing together talking and laughing , and that was after kavanaugh had spoken already. They were laughing, and it was probably at his performance. It was that bad.
