If this is true then 'swing voters' are dumber than dirt (or Palin)

and I'm not sure it's true, if it is and 'swing voters' are so stupid that they don't want to know details about what the other guy is going to do then they truly are nitwits:

An Ideological Battle Voters Don't Want
Amy Walter: "In picking Rep. Paul Ryan, whose eponymous budget plan has become synonymous with political polarization, Mitt Romney assured an ideological campaign where a debate over the role of government will be front and center. It is a debate the Obama campaign and partisans on both sides are also eager to have. But it's not a debate that swing voters want."

"They aren't as interested in choosing whether government should be more active or less. They are more interested in simply having it work."

is pretty much a defining trait of swing voters.

I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could, by this time in the campaign, not have rock-solid opinions about the candidates and their stances.

It's enough to make you bang your head against the wall to realize that the nation's fate--indeed, the world's fate--hangs on the momentary whims of clueless clods in the voting booth.

Undecideds are an incredibly shallow bunch. Apparently good hair and correctly enunciated vowels will be important to them.

Why blame the voters?

Obama spent 4 years telling voters we must 'reach across the aisle' and 'compromise,' but now those voters are supposed to focus on the differences?

Actually, it was a description of Undecided voters made during the 2008 election, but I think it's pretty close. The commentator said, "How can you be an Undecided voter NOW? It's like walking up to a person on fire and saying, 'Hey, you're on fire. Would you like to jump in that swimming pool?' and the person saying, 'Ummmmm.............I don't know.'"

Oh, and by the way, I think I speak for dirt everywhere when I say that the dirt is offended by having its intelligence compared to Sarah Palin's.
